JR Knives

identity, brand, branding, logo, logomark, business card, letterhead, vendor work, graphic design

My dad asked me to brand his knife-making business, so I did it. The blackletter/Japanese-letterform-inspired logo originally created with a calligraphy pen is meant to also act as a brand for either the knife blade or hilt. Cutting the business cards from a larger sheet so that the edges curl and wear a little is an important way of communicating the handicraft of my dad's knife-making.
